Programs in Multiple Languages
The Degree Program in Multiple Languages brings together more than one Romance language and culture within a single course of study. Students develop their language skills while exploring literature and other forms of cultural expression from different regions and historical periods, gaining a broader understanding of the connections and differences among these traditions.
Combined Graduate Program
Current RLL students whose interests lie at the intersection of more than one Romance language and literature may pursue a course of study in two RLL graduate programs (e.g., Italian and HLBS). Students must submit a petition (no more than one page) to the DGS by the end of spring quarter of their first year. The DGS, in consultation with the relevant Section Heads, will determine the intellectual soundness and feasibility of the student’s proposal, and will develop a plan for the fulfillment of requirements in both programs as listed below.
